From July 23 to 27, LM-LECC held the Workshop on Early Warning of Anti-terrorism along Lancang-Mekong River Basin at the Yunnan Police College. 30 relevant experts and officials from Lancang-Mekong countries’ counter-terrorism departments and colleges participated in this workshop. The agenda of this workshop covered International and Regional Counter-terrorism Situations and Challenges, Analysis of Terrorist-related Intelligence and Information, Terrorist Cases Study, Counter against Cyber Terrorism, Handling with and Command of Violent Attacks, Anti-terrorism Prevention and Propaganda, Railway Counter-terrorism Measures. A Visit to the National Anti-Terrorism Comprehensive Training Base (Yunnan Base) was organized as well. In addition, the participants also had a discussion with the Deputy Secretary-General of LM-LECC，Mr. Amphanh Xaiyasoubath，Mr. Chhorn Prasath and Mr.Jiang Shui.
During the workshop, the participants conducted heated discussions on various topics, shared the situation of terrorism in their countries，introduced the overall counter measures of anti-terrorism work, exchanged work experience, unanimously expressed satisfaction about what they learned, put forward recommendations and needs regarding how to carry out regional anti-terrorism and practical cooperation，from the practical point of view，and expected LM-LECC to play a greater role in the region.
