On October 27, 2020, LMLECC held a summary meeting on the “Joint Operation against illicit trafficking in Precursor Chemicals along Lancang-Mekong River” in Kuming city, China. Secretary-General Mr. Zheng Baigang, Deputy Secretary-General Mr. Amphanh Xayasoubath, Deputy Secretary-General Mr. Chhorn Prasath , Deputy Secretary-General Mr. Zaw San, and Deputy Secretary-General Mr. Jiang Shui presented at the meeting. Representitves of  Cambodia MOI, China MPS, Lao MND and MPS, Myanmar MHA attended the meeting through the LMIN video-call respectively in Phnom Penh, Cambodia，Beijing, China, Vientiane, Laos and Naypyidaw, Myanmar. Responsible personnel from LMLECC showed presence at the meeting.

According to the incomplete statistics, since the implementation of the joint operation, over 30,000 cases were solved in Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar and the border areas of Yunan Province of China, with more than 40,000 suspects captured and over 40 tons of various drugs seized. More than 180 cases of illicit trafficking of precursor chemicals have been solved in Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar and border areas of Yunan Province of China. And more than 1,500 suspects have been arrested, with a seizure of over 640 tons of various types of precursor chemicals.

Secretary-General Mr. Zheng Baigang saluted the efforts and contributions made by member state and extended his sincere thanks to the law enforcement agencies for their strong support. He proposed to Further establish a long-term mechanism for law enforcement cooperation on precursor chemicals control,  strengthen the river basin intelligence information exchange and  promote the synchronization of precursor chemicals.
