Invited by International Narcotics Control Board (INCB), approved by Secretary-General, on 23 July 2020, Ms. Wu Tingfang, deputy director of Joint Operation Coordination of LMLECC participated in the online GRIDS(Global Rapid Interdiction of Dangerous Substances) E-VENT on Fusion Centers, to share their experience of establishing and participating in multi-agency fusion centers.

On the event, Ms. Wu Tingfang briefed the establishment background, structure, cooperation units of LMLECC, introduced the center’s efforts in the field of drug control, such as advocating the "Joint Initiative Against Illegal Trafficking of Precursor Chemicals in the Lancang-Mekong River Basin", holding anti-drug investigation workshop, and  formulating "Drug Precursors Handbook", cooperation in the construction of rescue service and drug interdiction stations as well as equipment assistance, drafting of the "Drug Situation Report along Lancang-Mekong River" and other relevant work. LMLECC also discussed the difficulties and key issues of establishing a fusion center with the representatives from INCB, New Zealand Transnational Crime Unit, Pacific Transnational Crime Coordination Centre(PTCCC), and National Drug Intelligence Bureau, New Zealand.
