On May 26, 2020, LMLECC and the Anti-Drug Department of the Ministry of Home Affairs of Myanmar held a video meeting to exchange views on the results of the first phase of the "Joint Initiative to Combat Illicit Trafficking of Precursor Chemicals in the Lancang-Mekong River Basin." The meeting was chaired by Ms.Wu Tingfang, deputy director of the Joint Operation Coordination Directorate of LMLECC. The Myanmar side submitted a periodic results report in accordance with the unified arrangement for joint operations, informed the seizures of precursor chemicals along China-Myanmar border, introduced the major types of precursor chemicals seizure in Myanmar and posed suggestions for the next step of cooperation.

LMLECC said it would make full use of LMIN to provide technical support, further strengthen case consultations, exchange of intelligence clues, sharing of case information and data among participating parties, and promote joint operations to achieve more pragmatic results.

The relevant officers from the anti-drug department of the Ministry of Home Affairs of Myanmar, the LMLECC deputy Secretary-General, Mr. Zaw San, and the relevant personnel of the Joint Operations Coordination Directorate of LMLECC attended the meeting.
