From 08 to 13 December 2019, LMLEE assigned DSG. Mr. CHHORN Prasath to led a delegation including two specialist officials of JOC for conducting official site visits to discuss with relevance competence authorities of Vietnam and Myanmar on the topic of anti-transnational crime related to the prominence crime within Mekong-Lancang River Basin including the trafficking in person and illegal precursor chemical. 

During the visit, the delegation held working-level talks with relevant professional departments from MPS of Vietnam and MOHA of Myanmar respectively. Besides, the delegation also paid a site visit to the Criminal Investigation Division of Hanoi PSB in Vietnam. Both sides have conducted in-depth consultation in issues which include the progress and overall deployment of two joint operations targeting illicit precursor chemicals trafficking and transnational human trafficking, difficulties in both the management of precursor chemicals in Vietnam and Myanmar and the suggestions and advice for the subsequent implementation of two joint operations. 

During the meetings, the relevant professional departments of both MPS of Vietnam and MOHA of Myanmar all think highly of two joint operations and sincerely expressed their law enforcement concerns in these two areas. And many pragmatic suggestions have been proposed, which are indicative of the good effects achieved by the meetings.
