(Vietnam News Agency, Hanoi) During the Spring Festival, the Vietnamese overseas Chinese living in the world will return to Vietnam to welcome the New Year and attend the "Hometown Spring" event.

In the festive atmosphere of the Spring Festival reunion, on the evening of the 26th, the Vietnam Overseas Chinese National Committee of the Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Hanoi Municipal People's Committee and other relevant departments jointly held the "2019 Hometown Spring" cultural evening at the Hanoi National Convention Center. General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and President of the State, Mr. Ruan Fuzhong and his wife attended the event and spent the Spring Festival with the Vietnamese.

In the atmosphere of the country to welcome the New Year, Yu Ruan Fuzhong has officially started the 2019 Spring Festival by beating the drum.

On the afternoon of the same day, Ruan Fuzhong and his wife attended the 2019 “Hometown Spring” activities with the public in Hoan Kiem Lake to release carps, to send off kitchen god and to pray for peace and happiness.
