The 2018 Cambodia Anti-drug Report of the Anti-drug Bureau, General Commissariat of National Police shows that in the fight against drugs in 2018, the Cambodian government smashed 6,792 drug cases, seized 13,387 suspects (1011 women) and arrested 217 people (9 women) ). The report pointed out that in the operation last year, Cambodia had destroyed 508 kilograms of drugs.

At the same time, the Drug Enforcement Bureau also cooperated with the police in Phnom Penh, Sihanoukville Province and Siem Reap Province to manage the fight against drug abuse in entertainment venues.

The Drug Enforcement Administration investigated 2,997 target sites that were most vulnerable, and signed contracts with 972 places. There are still 2,025 places that have not yet been signed.

The Cambodian government is working hard to establish a national drug rehabilitation center in Sihanoukville.

The drug rehabilitation center costs US$6 million and will provide comprehensive drug rehabilitation services after it is built to help drug addicts quit drug addiction. The drug rehabilitation center will also ease the pressure on other drug rehabilitation centers to overload.

At present, there are 16 state-run and private drug treatment centers in Cambodia. In addition, the Cambodian Ministry of Health has 419 drug rehabilitation and psychotherapy centers in Cambodia, including 2 national hospitals, 24 provincial hospitals, 72 county hospitals and 321 health centers.
