The German federal police liaison office in China visited LMLECC

On April 10, 2018, the German federal police liaison office in China visited LMLECC for exchanges. During the meeting, SG Zheng Baigang of LMLECC met with the German federal police liaison officer Leng Rujun. Vice SG Jiang Shui and other senior officials participated the meeting.
SG Zheng Baigang introduced the LMLECC establishment background, main responsibilities, organizational structure and related duty of work and planning of LMLECC. He said, the security problem of Lancang-Mekong
River is complicated and changeable. Crime problems such as drug dealing, weapons smuggling and people smuggling have been prominent and have had an impact on global security. As the development of LMLECC, we could strengthen cooperation in case consultation and information exchange with Germany and other European countries, exchange experience in regional law enforcement cooperation, and jointly contribute to global security integration.

The delegation also exchanged views with officials on how to effectively carry out regional international law enforcement cooperation and enhance the effectiveness of LMLECC.
