On November 7-8, Mr. Jiang Shui, Deputy Secretary-General of LMLECC led a delegation to Tashkent, Uzbekistan,  attended the 9th International Scientific and Practical Conference of Shanghai Cooperation Organization Regional Anti-Terrorism Structure(SCO RATS ).

The conference was organized by the SCO RATS Executive Committee and invited more than 160 representatives from member states of the SCO and the Collective Security Treaty Organization, as well as international organizations such as the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) and INTERPOL. Mr. Ruslan Mirzaev, Director of the Executive Committee of the SCO RATS, and Mr. Vladimir Voronkov, UN Under-Secretary-General and Head of the UN Office of Counter-Terrorism as well as other high level officials addressed the opening ceremony both online and in-person. The participants made more than 50 keynote speeches and round table discussions on international cooperation and work experience of SCO member states in combating terrorism and extremism, as well as on combating money laundering and counter-terrorism financing, the use of information and communication technologies in terrorist and extremist crimes and countermeasures.

In Uzbekistan, LMLECC delegation also had exchanges with the secretariat of the Executive Committee of the SCO RATS and the UNODC representatives on strengthening cooperation among international organizations.
