On October 24th, at approximately 9 AM, the 134th Joint Mekong River Patrol and Law Enforcement Operation was officially launched. Two Chinese patrol boats, 53106 and 53107, and the Laotian patrol boat 001 departed together from the Jingha Police Dock in Xishuangbanna, China. Additionally, Laotian boat 004 and Burmese boat 171, also participating in the operation, set sail at the designated times from Ban xiengkok in Laos and Wan bang in Myanmar respectively.

This operation was conducted through a combination of full-line patrols and segmented patrols and spanned 4 days and 3 nights. In total, five law enforcement vessels and 114 law enforcement personnel were deployed, covering a distance of over 600 kilometers.

On October 27th, at 10:30 a.m., the successful completion of the 134th joint Mekong River patrol and law enforcement operation was marked by the docking of the Chinese patrol boat 53107 at the Jingha Police Dock in Xishuangbanna. 

The Lancang-Mekong Law Enforcement Cooperation Center selected eight of its staff members to participate in this joint patrol and law enforcement operation. During the operation, the center's personnel engaged in discussions with the patrol and law enforcement delegations from various countries, addressing matters related to the security situation in the Lancang-Mekong region and law enforcement cooperation. They explored opportunities to strengthen cooperation between the center and law enforcement agencies in the Lancang-Mekong countries, with the aim of enhancing the effectiveness of joint efforts in combating crime in the region.
