Laos and the United States held a remains handover ceremony

A few days ago, the two sides held a handover ceremony for the disappearance of American soldiers remains during the Laos War at the International Airport of Champassak Province in Laos. Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Laos, Mr. Sengphet HOUNGBOUNNUANG and Ms. Rena Bitter, Ambassador of the United States to Laos, attended and delivered speeches on behalf of both sides. The relevant departments of Laos attended the event.

Since the cooperation between Laos and the United States in the exploration and excavation of the missing remains of American soldiers during the Laos war, a total of 285 remains of American soldiers have been discovered and the handovers have been completed. At present, there are still 288 US military remains missing, and the two sides will further strengthen the cooperation in the future.
