On December 13, 2018, the handover ceremony of the public security ministers was held in the conference room of the Ministry of Public Security of Laos. Phankham VIPHAVANH, member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party, executive secretary of the Central Secretariat, and Vice President of the State attended the above activity. Vilay LAKHAMFONG, Secretary of the Central Secretariat of Laos, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of National Defense and Director of the General Political Department, took over the new Laos Minister of Public Security and former Minister Somkeo SILAVONG was transferred to the Lao Ministry of Defense.
