In order to promote regional drug control cooperation work in the year 2022 and to better provide support and services for front-line combat departments at the border, on 21 March, Mr. Amphanh Xayasobath, Deputy Secretary-General of the Lancang-Mekong Integrated Law Enforcement and Security Cooperation Center, and his delegation paid an official visit to the Narcotics Control Administration of the Yunnan Provincial Public Security Department to conduct work exchanges. Mr. Yu Bing, Deputy Director of the Narcotic Control Administration of Yunnan Provincial Public Security Department held an Exchange Meeting with the delegation.

During the discussion, DSG Amphanh Xayasobath expressed his gratitude to the Narcotics Control Administration of Yunnan Provincial Public Security Department for its support and assistance to the LMLECC’s work and he also hoped that the two sides will further carry out practical cooperation in drug control areas such as information exchange and sharing on drug control intelligence, law enforcement capacity-building in the drug control areas, case coordination and cooperation, and construction of experts team and think-tank groups in the future. Deputy Director Yu Bing has expressed a warm welcome to DSG Amphanh Xayasobath and his delegation, and responded positively to the relevant cooperation ideas, and conducted in-depth exchanges with the delegation on the drug situation and countermeasure in Yunnan Province and the Lancang-Mekong region. The two sides agreed to strengthen normalized and institutionalized practical cooperation in the areas such as intelligence sharing, joint Operation and capacity-building, constantly improving the level of cooperation and enriching the connotation of cooperation.
