On November 3, David Cooper, the UK police liaison officer in China, visited LMLECC. Secretary General Zheng Baigang led David and his colleague to visit the center and then held a brief meeting.

During the talks, Secretary General Zheng Baigang welcomed David and his colleague, and introduced the background, organizational structure, personnel composition, river basin situation and prominent public security issues of the center. David mainly introduced the functions and responsibilities, work direction and foreign cooperation of the UK National Crime Agency, and expressed his appreciation for the positive role played by the LMLECC.

The two sides fully exchanged views on cross-border issues such as drug control, human smuggling and gun trafficking, and unanimously expressed the hope that communication and interaction could be strengthened in the future, so as to provide support within our capacity for cooperation in combating transnational crimes.
